The walk started from the Yew Tree Inn at Ednaston, just south of the A52 Derby to Ashbourne road to the north of Brailsford.

The walk was about 6 miles long across pleasantly undulating, mainly pasture land with good open views in all directions. After a couple of minor excursions along the way we got back to the Yew Tree at about 1:30 for lunch.
