By popular demand Martin arranged to re-visit an area we walked in a couple of years ago (see pics) but we did a completely different walk this time.

Walk details:

START POINT:
Lathkill Hotel, Over Haddon, Nr. Bakewell, Derbyshire

TIME: 10 00am assemble for tea/coffee at the Lathkill Hotel with walk to start at 10.30am.

DIRECTIONS:
To Bakewell - if using the A619 from Chesterfield go to the roundabout in the centre of Bakewell by the Rutland Hotel, take the left turn and almost immediate right turn up the B5055 signed to Monyash. If coming on the A6 from Matlock take the left turn just before the roundabout. Continue uphill past the left turning for Lady Manners School and take a left turn on a minor road signed to Over Haddon (approx. 1 mile). There is limited parking behind the Lathkill Hotel or alternative street parking nearby.

The Lathkill Hotel has a good reputation for serving an excellent selection of bar meals and ales. We anticipate arriving back at approximately 12.30pm for lunch at 1.00pm.

The Walk: We have two alternatives dependent on the weather and ground conditions!! Both are the usual 6 miles taking in Lathkill Dale from Over Haddon to Monyash and back. There is a long steady or a short sharp climb dependent on choice of walk so bottom gear will be required.
