The Chandlers Arms, Fenny Lane, Shearsby, Leicestershire. LE17 6PL http://www.chandlersatshearsby.co.uk

Walk Notes: Coffee/Tea from 10am with an easy walk of 4½ miles via Arnesby and Fleckney. There are very few stiles and the route was not particularly overgrown but there are some thistles and briars if you intend wearing shorts.

Whilst we can’t compete with English Wine you will notice from the web-site (designed by Terry) david brewerthat it is CAMRA Pub of the Year for the last 4 years and I can recommend trying the sampler of three of the beers on offer.

The web-site also contains travel directions if you need them. Shearsby is on the old A50 out of Leicester (now the A5199) which is the Leicester – Welford – Northampton Road
