Dale Abbey, Derbyshire Thursday 25th April 2013

Carpenter's Arms, Dale Abbey
The walk will, more or less, be the one we did in July 2008. See details»

Directions:
To get to Dale Abbey, the simplest way is via the M1 to junction 25. Leave the motorway and go round the A52 island over the motorway and take the road signposted for Sandiacre. The road is Bostocks Lane (the exit road just before the slip road onto the M1 North) and it takes you past The Post House Hotel which is on your right. At the top of the lane cross over the main road (which is the B5010, the old Nottingham to Derby Road) onto Rushy Lane. Carry straight on and take the first left turn which is No Man’s Lane. About a mile or so further on you bear right onto Potato Pit Lane, continue forward onto Woodpecker Hill, bear left onto Moor Lane and the Carpenter’s Arms is about a ¼ mile further along on the right hand side. Lots of parking at the rear.

For those who will be guided by their satnavs, the post code is DE7 4PP. For those who get lost (impossible) the pub’s telephone number is 0115 932 5277.
