Baslow & Bubnell, Derbyshire, Wednesday 23rd March 2016

Gentlemen, it’s time once again for us to put on those walking boots and jump muddy puddles in
Derbyshire. This walk has great views and is certainly less muddy than our last one ... I promise!!
Details of the walk are as follows:

START POINT: The Wheatsheaf Hotel, Nether End, Baslow, Derbyshire DE45 1SR
Tel: 01246 582240

DIRECTIONS TO THE WHEATSHEAF HOTEL: The Hotel is on the right
hand side of the A619 from Chesterfield just as you enter Baslow. There is plenty of parking at the
hotel (we’ve been asked to use the top car park).

WALK: The walk is just over 4 miles. Starting from The Wheatsheaf we will make our way towards
Hassop returning via Back Wood and Bubnell following the River Derwent. There will be a couple
of very steady climbs but nothing arduous I can assure you! There are good paths and short
stretches on the road with splendid views throughout, weather permitting.

Cheers
Martin
