Tel.  0115 939 2313.  https://therisleypark.co.uk/

There is ample parking space.  Coffee will be available from 10.00, for a 10.30 start.

Risley Park, Risley • whatpub.comThe walk, of approx. 3 miles heads North on a lane past the Risley underground reservoirs towards Risley Lodge Farm.

Skirting the farm, a field path heads straight for a triangulation pillar at No Man’s Lane, height 133 metres.  The long, easy gradient all the way makes a comfortable climb of 70 metres in just over a mile.
No Man’s Lane runs along a ridge, with panoramic views North and South.  A short way along the lane, another field path heads South downhill, across a track, through an abandoned golf course and on to another track beside a wood.  The route then skirts Risley School to return to the pub. (Click in the map to see a large version)

On the recce, the only livestock was some ponies in a small field.  Most of the route is on tracks or grassy uncultivated fields, with a couple of fields growing broad beans.  There are a few easy stiles.
